Reaction to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) Recent Mammography Recommendations
The American College of Radiology (ACR) calls the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) mammography recommendations "Ill Advised and Dangerous."
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) maintains its current advice that women in their 40s continue mammography screening every one to two years and women age 50 or older continue annual screening.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) says its guidelines will not change; the ACS recommends an annual mammography screening for women 40 and over.
